In this
new version of Pokemon, there is said to be over 200-250 Pokemon!
The Pokemon will also have their own gender, meaning they can breed!
Koooool huh? There is also said to be over 200 new moves that
new and old Pokemon can learn making them stronger. The graphics
have improved and the Pokemon look more realistic. Also, the Pokemon
sleep at certain times in the game, meaning if your Pokemon is sleeping
at the time you want to fight with it, it won't come out. (This makes the
game more challenging and makes the gamer plan out when to fight) You can
also check your Pokemon's pre evolved status, meaning you can check a,
lets say, Pikachu's data even though it's a Raichu. Some of the older
Pokemon will also be able to evolve when traded to the Gold or Silver editions.
There will be a built in clock/timer in the game to
track when the Pokemon sleep. There will also be new forms
of tranportation such as the skateboard.
The only problem with
this game is that the Red, Blue and Green edition cannot receive any data
from the Gold or Silver editions. But, they can send info.
For example, If your friend wants a Pikablu (a rare new pokemon in the
Gold and Silver editions) but he has the red version, he can't get it.
But if you have the gold version and your friend with the red version has
the pokemon you want, he can give it to you.
The planned release
date is around April 99 and the American release date is stil unknown,
hope fully some time in 99!
